 New LCD protective cover made from a CD jewel case.
 New cable made from a Radio Shack six pin DIN shielded cable.
 Before
 The old cable was zip tied over to keep it working due to a broken ground wire.
 
Here are some pictures of how it looks on the inside.
 It was a little pain to take apart. After removing the back cover you had to unsolder a feed through ribon cable to flip this board over in order to get to the screws which removed everything from the case.
 



New cable installed. I left out the three wires which are never used. They went to the three little connectors on the cable toward the consult plug. They're used for alarm and data log accessories which are impossible to find in the US.
 I suppose I could sand it smooth and paint it but I think it's kind of neat this way. Just thought I'd share.
